[It's likely only a few people noticed, but about two weeks ago, Ayumu vanished completely from the village, along with all of his belongings. It's clear he went home, and that should have been the end of it.

But today.... Deep in Egypt... Deep in the depths of a pyramid is a treasure room with a fancy sarcophagus. It probably looks the same as most of the other pyramid treasure rooms, but this one is a bit different. If you get close enough, and make some noise.... it starts to shake. Like something is inside.

Any treasure hunters are welcome to investigate.



Later in the day, after that drama has unfolded and the sun has set enough for him to escape Egypt, Ayumu can be found wandering the rest of the village looking for his house. It's a pretty daunting prospect because there aren't any familiar landmarks anywhere. So, he can also be found trying to escape gangsters in Mobland or being chased by dire bears in the ice age (he really has no luck with animals.)]

[And she drops the lid immediately, possibly right on his arm as he reaches out.

She's pretty sure she can't teleport, but somehow she's now pressed up against the wall on the other side of the room and she doesn't remember moving through the intervening space. She doesn't have to know what a mummy is for that to freak her out.]

[Meanwhile, the mummy continues to reach, out, out, out, searching for Fenimore's lost presence-]

[And then he overbalances and falls onto the ground in a heap of bandages. It's really hard to walk when your legs are tied up like this!]

[She turns to flee, but she is blocked when the hall she has turned to reveals a blade trap that, were she more familiar with Egyptian history, would be beyond the most genius engineer with the materials available to them at the time of the pyramid's construction. So she stumbles back towards him, but swirls towards him when she gets close enough to nearly trip over him.]

Don't you dare move...!

[She gropes around inside her clothes. She's sure she packed a combat fan somewhere in here...]

Mfmmgh mflrg mmmph.

[This... may have been agreeing with her?

Either way, he's rolling around on the ground a bit, trying to figure out what's got him tied up.]

[That...doesn't sound too threatening. She retrieves her fan and watches him roll for a bit.]

...If you stay still, I can get you out of that. [Or, at least, uncover the face and determine if it is in her best interest to help with the rest. Though...this stuff wasn't supposed to be able to kill them, right?
