[The events of this week have taught Ayumu one thing/ He truly is a creature of the night, and can't go out in the sun. That, combined with his card's insistence that he loves graveyards, leaves him with only one conclusion.

He's a vampire.

Not only that, but since he forgot about this it's been almost a week since he's drunk anyone's blood. The card says that he 'better figure out why' he's nocturnal, which means it's probably a good idea to find some blood soon.

Tonight, a figure in a stereotypical black cloak with a high collar stalks the streets of Luceti. It was the most vampire-like thing he could find, and the card does say he likes to dress up. If you look like a cute little girl and/or otherwise generally amenable to falling for a vampire, you may find Ayumu jumping into your path and striking a pose.]

Hello. I vant to suck your blood.

[The terrible accent somehow feels necessary, too.]

[Sabriel had felt Ayumu coming, but when he jumps out in an overly dramatic fashion her stance relaxes from a readied state of attack, her half completed Charter spells falling as she instead gives him an exasperated look.]

...Ayumu, what are you doing?

[The lack of screaming and then dry deadpan was not what he was going for at all. He pauses in mid-gesture.]

How'd you know my name?

[maybe he's more infamous as a vampire than he realized...]

[Sabriel frowns, crossing her arms as. She had run into some other acquaintances that seemed to have been Shifted but she didn't know it had spread so far.]

So...what are you doing?

Well, he definitely doesn't remember her. And he's not sure if saying that would be a good plan or not. He has no idea if she's his friend or his foe.]

If you know me, shouldn't you already know?

[He definitely wasn't acting normal, even with his memory gone this seemed a little odd. She might not know all that much about Ayumu but she had been sure to get a lot of information on his 'condition' back when she first appeared here, and this definitely didn't match up.]

You want blood...but why?

Isn't that obvious?

[He swishes the cape again for dramatic effect]

[Grune gives him a blank look at that jump-and-declaration combo. Despite the suddenness of his appearance, she doesn't so much as flinch.]

Why do you want to do that?

[That doesn't seem very nice to her. And Ayumu is such a sweet young man. This is a little confusing.]

Because this is what vampires do.

[Now that confuses her great deal. See, she actually knows about vampires from Giles--but his definition was basically "soulless monsters," not "people running around at night with bad accents."

She tries to fit Ayumu into Giles' definition of vampires and fails utterly.]

...Why do you want to act like a vampire?

Because... I am one?

[why is this being questioned he thought his outfit was perfect...]

[...Yep, still confused.]

Oh, no, that can't be right. I think you must be a little mixed up.

I can't be. You even saw me burning in the sunlight earlier.

[fierybluebird]

[Uncaring shrug.]

If you'd like, but I doubt it tastes that good.

[you know he's not sure what he was thinking when he decided to try this guy. And that answer is just... suspicious, somehow.]

...Really? You're not going to scream or run in terror or something?

[fierybluebird]

Terror? [Scoffs.]

Please. You got a knife, or are you planning to try using your teeth?

[This just screams all kinds of suspicious.]

[a knife just sounds creepy.]

No, I don't have a knife -- You know, I think I made a mistake here.

I mean, no! I just remembered someplace I need to be!

[Ayumu, why are you jumping out at people. What the hell are you doing. Elliot sees this unusual display just once before he stomps up to his friend to figure out what the heck is going on.]

What do you think you're doing?

[if he remembered who you were he would never have jumped out at you. But right now, he doesn't realize he should be embarrassed.]

What does it look like I'm doing?

It looks like you're being an idiot again.

[He's not crossdressing, so maybe it's not that bad... but whatever it is, it's definitely embarrassing enough, he can tell!]

[Oh yeah? Well, you're -

Wait a minute.]

You heard me! Again!

[That's not very helpful, Elliot. By his definition, Ayumu is almost always an idiot. Most people are.]

Well I don't remember being an idiot before, so it can't be again.
