Mar. 21st, 2011 01:13 pm[Never trust the weatherman. That's something Ayumu has started to believe. In Luceti there is no actual weatherman, but the days since he's arrived last week have been so nice and cloudy he's gotten used to walking around outside with minimal problems. As today is Monday, he leaves in the morning to see about the school he's heard about, but sometime during the day the cloud cover vanishes and bright sunshine takes over.
It's probably a welcome sight to every other person in town. For Ayumu, days like these are why back home he doesn't leave school until sunset. But that crazy girl at the party had told him to come to her club, and she'd been in class so she knew he wasn't sick. Some latent survival instinct told him that getting on her bad side was not a great plan. So... somehow, he has to brave the sunlight. Just long enough to get to that clubhouse. At least it's not summer here yet....
This afternoon, there is a kid on the edge of the square inching through the shadows along the sides of the buildings. Occasionally, he makes a mad dash across open sunny space before collapsing into another patch of shade.
He.... looks pretty stupid, honestly.]
