[Action]

[It's likely only a few people noticed, but about two weeks ago, Ayumu vanished completely from the village, along with all of his belongings. It's clear he went home, and that should have been the end of it.

But today.... Deep in Egypt... Deep in the depths of a pyramid is a treasure room with a fancy sarcophagus. It probably looks the same as most of the other pyramid treasure rooms, but this one is a bit different. If you get close enough, and make some noise.... it starts to shake. Like something is inside.

Any treasure hunters are welcome to investigate.

Later in the day, after that drama has unfolded and the sun has set enough for him to escape Egypt, Ayumu can be found wandering the rest of the village looking for his house. It's a pretty daunting prospect because there aren't any familiar landmarks anywhere. So, he can also be found trying to escape gangsters in Mobland or being chased by dire bears in the ice age (he really has no luck with animals.)]

1st / Evening

[The events of this week have taught Ayumu one thing/ He truly is a creature of the night, and can't go out in the sun. That, combined with his card's insistence that he loves graveyards, leaves him with only one conclusion.

He's a vampire.

Not only that, but since he forgot about this it's been almost a week since he's drunk anyone's blood. The card says that he 'better figure out why' he's nocturnal, which means it's probably a good idea to find some blood soon.

Tonight, a figure in a stereotypical black cloak with a high collar stalks the streets of Luceti. It was the most vampire-like thing he could find, and the card does say he likes to dress up. If you look like a cute little girl and/or otherwise generally amenable to falling for a vampire, you may find Ayumu jumping into your path and striking a pose.]

Hello. I vant to suck your blood.

[The terrible accent somehow feels necessary, too.]

[It's been a few days since the storm... and despite the major cleanup efforts, things still look about as bad as it left it. Ayumu's getting tired of seeing crushed houses and toppled lamp-posts, not to mention the inconvenience of broken buildings in the square. It's hard to get groceries when there's debris everywhere.

And so, in the middle of the night, a good Samaritan strikes. Nighttime is important because of what this person happens to be wearing. He's cloaked and hooded, but it doesn't do much good because each time he stops - beside a crumbled wall, or a smashed window - he raises the pink chainsaw in his hands, chants a series of indecipherable symbols, and begins to work magic. A light envelops him and blows the cloak aside, revealing a frilly pink miniskirt and hair bows. He doesn't stay very long at each house, but there's enough noise that a sleeping resident or night-time stroller might notice before he flies off.

He really hopes you won't, even if it's inevitable.

ooc: So, Ayumu can use magic to fix your house or yard, or so on. IC encounters would be great, but if you'd like a character to have had their house fixed and discover it later that's fine too. He'll be all over the village, but obviously can't fix everything that's wrong because... well, there's a lot (and it's also dark.)]

† six

[It's evening, and the sun is beginning to set behind the mountains. Luceti is bathed in a red glow, and most reasonable people are heading home or preparing to make dinner.

If you aren't one of those two and happen to be at the square, however, there's a rather strange sight. At the far end of the square, a boy is.... dancing.

The breakdancing itself is actually not that bad. The more awkward part is what he's singing along with the dance... also, the pirate outfit he's wearing.]

Yo! Yo! Oh, yeah!

Listen to your HEART!
It's an SOS!
The music's gonna START!
Everyone say YES!

[and a headspin.

About 50% of the 'song' is gratuitous English, which is probably noticeable even through the translation...

Ayumu's first reactions to being asked to cosplay and advertise the Brigade's services were shock and horror, but it's actually not going so bad. He looks pretty good in this outfit, if he does say so himself. And because of that he's gotten really into the job. Maybe too into it. Feel free to tell him as much if you spot him. Or just take one of the Brigade flyers lying on the ground nearby, that works too.

Later on in the evening, after the trials and tribulations of Haruhi's orders are finished, Ayumu appears at the tea shop to work a shift. He didn't bother to go home, though so he's... still wearing that outfit. And since Haruhi would yell at him if he didn't get rid of all the fliers, he'll pawn off the remaining ones on whatever evening customers the store has.]

† five [Action]

[On this pleasantly overcast day (at least, in this part of Luceti... fairytales call for incredibly localized weather patterns) there is a nice, pleasant bridge over a cool brook. On the other side of the bridge is a beautiful place filled with the most wonderful food you can imagine, also known as the grocery store. So to get there, you're going to need to cross this bridge. Or one of the other bridges. But mostly this one.

That is, of course, why the creature now lurking underneath the bridge has called it his home.

Ayumu isn't interested in the grocery store today. He's a troll zombie zombie troll, and the only thing good enough for him is brains. I mean, goats. Either way, he's going to be stopping anyone who tries to pass... and you'd better hope you can pay his toll.]

† four [Action]

[All is calm and tranquil outside of community building 7 tonight. Although the town's scenery continues to be less than stable, Ayumu seems to be in great spirits - mostly because the shifts have turned the building's front yard into his favorite graveyard back home, complete with a nice helping of eerie fog. Every so often a sentient mushroom or fanged rabbit will appear, but they only really take a kick to get rid of. The possibilities of what could show up are far from his mind.

That is, until the growling sound alerts him just in time to dodge a paw whistling in his direction. The gravestone he was sitting on explodes in a shower of rubble, and he ducks his head.

Glancing up, he can now see the familiar, menacing, red-eyed bear wearing a school uniform towering over him.]

What is it with bears lately!?

[One Megalo still isn't a problem, though - even if it means he'll probably have to transform. Of course, as soon as that thought arrives, another sound from overhead heralds the appearance of something more. The clouds overhead literally break and a creature swims into view. The whale blows energy from its blowhole, which rains down over the scene and grinds more gravestones into dust.]

...So much for a peaceful night. [he'd left Mysteltainn inside, too...]

† three [Action]

[While the heat wave has been merely annoying to some, for others it's downright unbearable.

Ayumu made the innocent mistake of trying to head across town on an errand after school instead of straight home, forgetting how much more open that path was. He'd also forgotten this route meant crossing his old nemesis, an open bridge. Twenty feet of blazing sun between him and the other side...

He knew how it would end, but tried it anyway. And just like before, halfway across he had to abandon ship.

Those passing over the bridge to the square now may find a boy lurking in the relative shade below the bridge while flipping through a waterlogged journal. He doesn't look too annoyed actually - just very wet and waiting for sunset.]

† two [Voice/Action]

This may sound like a strange question, but does anyone know if there's a graveyard somewhere around here?

[...] Ah, not that I need it for anything. I was just curious.

[...He lets the entry end there.

Although Ayumu is more than used to weird events in his unlife by now, the stress of being suddenly transported to a new world is starting to get to him. It's nights like this he'd normally go drink coffee in the cemetery, but so far he hasn't run across any relaxing places like that in his wandering around the village. The guide did say no one dies permanently here... but there's no harm in asking, right? Even a shrine or something might work.

But he has other things to do tonight besides make journal entries. After his encounter with Batman the other night he's given up on breaking into the buildings around the square, but it's still difficult to get things done when people keep locking the stores at night. After posting that message, he picks up the journal and heads out as early into the sunset as he can risk, heading to the square and hoping to make it to the item shop before someone closes it.]

† one [action]

[Never trust the weatherman. That's something Ayumu has started to believe. In Luceti there is no actual weatherman, but the days since he's arrived last week have been so nice and cloudy he's gotten used to walking around outside with minimal problems. As today is Monday, he leaves in the morning to see about the school he's heard about, but sometime during the day the cloud cover vanishes and bright sunshine takes over.

It's probably a welcome sight to every other person in town. For Ayumu, days like these are why back home he doesn't leave school until sunset. But that crazy girl at the party had told him to come to her club, and she'd been in class so she knew he wasn't sick. Some latent survival instinct told him that getting on her bad side was not a great plan. So... somehow, he has to brave the sunlight. Just long enough to get to that clubhouse. At least it's not summer here yet....

This afternoon, there is a kid on the edge of the square inching through the shadows along the sides of the buildings. Occasionally, he makes a mad dash across open sunny space before collapsing into another patch of shade.

He.... looks pretty stupid, honestly.]
